ALAMEDA, Calif. — A former Commander of the 11th Coast Guard District here assumed command of the Coast Guard’s Pacific Area and Coast Guard Defense Forces West during a change of command ceremony held at 10:30 a.m. today at the base pier.

ALAMEDA, Calif. — Coast Guard Cmdr. Andrew Raiha will relieve Cmdr. Kevin A. Jones as commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Alex Haley during a change of command ceremony held on the flight deck the Haley while the cuter is underway in the vicinity of Cold Bay, Alaska, at 12:45 pm, Friday.

Memorial service for U.S. Coast Guard HH-65 air crew scheduled for Friday

HONOLULU – A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at Air Station Barbers Point in Ewa Beach for U.S. Coast Guard air crewmen aboard an HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter that crashed Sept. 4.
