Busy weekend for rescuers puts focus on boating safety

BALTIMORE – Due to an unusually high number of boaters in distress through the weekend, the Coast Guard reminds boaters to boat smart and boat safe while spending time on the water this summer.

Coast Guard and F.U.R.A. combine efforts to rescue 3 stranded swimmers

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The crews of a Coast Guard helicopter and Puerto Rico Police rescue crews combined efforts to rescue three of five swimmers who were stranded on a reef off Playa Escondida, Fajardo, after the group was taken out by the riptide away from the beach Friday afternoon.

Video – Coast Guard Rescues Two Men and A Dog Rescued

ALAMEDA, Calif. — A crew from Air Station San Francisco rescued two men and their dog January 14 after their pleasure craft ran aground on one of the numerous small islands dotting the waterway near Rio Vista. The two men and their dog were transported to Concord Airport, and were reported in good condition.
