SAN DIEGO - A San Diego based Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk performed a medevac of a woman off the cruise ship STAR PRINCESS this afternoon at approximately 2:45 p.m.
The Coast Guard command center received word that the woman was in distress and needed immediate medical attention. The helicopter was immediately diverted to the area 120 miles west of San Diego, hoisted the woman, and transferred her to Scripps Memorial hospital for surgery.
