A story today from WBAL-TV in Baltimore reports that the Zanele “Cynthia” Khumalo, 36, and her 3-year-old daughter, Hadiya, were hit and killed by a U.S. Coast Guard SUV while crossing a busy highway Thursday.
Investigators said it appears the Coast Guard driver was not at fault.
