Man rescued from raft in Lake Michigan

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that:

A man whose raft floated an estimated 400 yards into Lake Michigan off Sheboygan was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard this afternoon, according to the Sheboygan Police Department.

The man, who was not immediately identified, was floating near North Point Park, according to scanner reports. A passerby called police about 2 p.m., describing the man as in distress.

Sgt. Dave Anderson said police dispatched a Coast Guard boat, which pulled the man from the raft and reunited him with his family at the Harbor Centre Marina.

The man was shaken up but not injured, according to scanner reports.
