Lest We Forget – This Day in History

September 11, 20001 – Terrorist hijacked four commercial jets and then crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon and the Pennsylvania countryside.

Here’s a look at that day in history, through the eyes of U.S. Coast Guard photographers.

KINGSPOINT, New York (Nov. 19, 2001 - The Coast Guard honor Guard prepares to fold the flag at a Memorial Service for LCDR Gilbert Granados, Coast Guard Reserve retired.
