Fisherman Medevaced by Air Station Cape Cod

BOSTON – A 56-year old man suffering from a neurological condition was airlifted from a fishing vessel 100 nautical miles east of Cape Cod, Mass. about noon today.

The owner of fishing vessel Lucimar, of New Bedford, Mass., called Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England for help and the Coast Guard launched an Air Station Cape Cod HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter to medevac the ill fisherman.

The ill fisherman was hoisted from the Lucimar and transported to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment and has been listed in stable condition.
