Cutter Kingfisher searching for three possible overdue boaters off Mayport coast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard is searching for three overdue boaters Monday off the coast of Jacksonville after they failed to return to port Sunday evening as was previously scheduled.

Missing are John J. Navaraz, 32, Elijs Navaraz, 31, and Rebecca Sullivan, 28.

The boaters are aboard the 20-foot pleasure craft, Problem Child. The boaters were expected back ashore Sunday evening and have not made any communications ashore.

The crew of the 87-foot Coast Guard Cutter Kingfisher, homeported at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville is enroute to conduct search patterns.

The crew is believed to have survival equipment on board including lifejackets and flares.
