Coast Guard Transports Tug Crewmember After Seizure

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued a 22 year-old male from an Ocean Tug about 60 miles southwest of Fourchon early this morning.

A watchstander at Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans received the call at 2:31 a.m., reporting that a crewman working aboard the Ocean Tug La Force had suffered a seizure.

Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched an HH-65C Dolphin helicopter to rescue the ailing crewmember, Aaron Hinzmann, 22 years-old, of Coos Bay, Oregon. Mr. Hinzmann was safely hoisted and transported to West Jefferson Hospital.
