Coast Guard suspends search for missing man near Annapolis, Md

BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard suspended its search for a missing man at 8:57 p.m. Saturday.

Missing is Mark Harbison, 40.

Harbison was reported missing in the waters of the Severn River at 3:36 a.m. Saturday.

Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Baltimore received a call from the owner of the 30-foot vessel Raxx reporting his passenger was missing.

A 45-foot Response Boat – Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Annapolis, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., along with personnel from the Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Natural Resources Police, Civil Air Patrol, Maryland State Troopers, and Anne Arundel Police and Fire Departments were on scene conducting the search for Harbison.

The Coast Guard and local agencies searched a total of 160 square miles in 15 hours for the man.
