Coast Guard Searching for Possible Missing Person Near Redondo Beach Pier

U.S. Coast Guard photograph by Petty Officer 1st Class Adam EggersSAN PEDRO, Calif. – The Coast Guard and local Port Partners received a report of a potentially intoxicated female entering the water near Redondo Pier in Redondo Beach, Calif., early Sunday morning.

The reporting witnesses did not see the female emerge once she entered the water.

The Coast Guard currently has a HH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Los Angeles and a small boat crew searching for the individual, along with multiple personnel and assets comprised of LA County Fire, Redondo Harbor Patrol, Redondo Fire, Redondo PD, and Baywatch Marina Del Ray.
