Coast Guard searching for person in the water near Key West

Coast Guard District 7 NewsKEY WEST, Fla. — The Coast Guard and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) are searching for a person in the water in the vicinity of Wisteria Island, Fla., Tuesday.

Donald Roller, 45, jumped into the water wearing jean shorts and no life jacket last night after an argument aboard the sailing vessel Quest.

The Coast Guard was notified at 7:31 p.m., Monday, stating Roller was last seen swimming toward Wisteria Island. A Coast Guard Air Station Miami MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew, two Coast Guard Station Key West boatcrews, and four FWC boatcrews are continuing to search in the vicinity of Wisteria Island.
