Coast Guard Searches for Missing Diver

 Ventura, Calif. – Two Coast Guard rescue boats from Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor and a rescue helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles are currently searching for a missing diver off the southeast coast of Santa Cruz Island.

The Coast Guard received the initial call for assistance at 9:49 a.m. from the Santa Barbara based commercial dive vessel Vision reporting one of their divers 20-minutes overdue. The missing diver is reported to be a 54-year-old man wearing a black-blue dry suit with bright yellow tags.

National Park Service officers and Los Angeles County Lifeguard rescue divers will be assisting in the search and are en route to the scene.
