Coast Guard Responds to Medical Emergency West of Kodiak

JUNEAU, Alaska - The Coast Guard responded to a medical emergency approximately 80 miles west of Kodiak at around 7:30 a.m.
A rescue helicopter from Air Station Kodiak hoisted the man from the fishing vessel (F/V) Van Elliott, which was in Shelikof Strait. The Coast Guard air crew delivered the 45-year-old man to an awaiting EMS at Air Station Kodiak.
The condition of the man is unknown at this time.
