Coast Guard Responds To Distressed Sailing Vessel North of Morro Bay

MORRO BAY, Calif. — The Coast Guard is on scene with the sailing vessel, Ingomar, that reported that it was taking on water about 13 miles north of Morro Bay, Calif.

The Coast Guard received the report of the distress at about 4 p.m. and immediately sent rescue teams.

Two 47-foot motor life boats from Station Morro Bay are currently on scene and providing assistance with dewatering pumps. An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Los Angeles also responded and has delivered an additional pump for the rescue crews.

Six people are reportedly on board the 65-foot Schooner.
