NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued two people from Lost Lake, Louisiana, Sunday evening.

Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a call at approximately 9 p.m. from two people aboard an 18-foot pleasure craft stating they got lost while fishing in Lost Lake, ran aground, and became disabled.

Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew that arrived on scene and hoisted the two survivors.

The owner of the vessel will make plans to salvage the vessel.
