Coast Guard rescues 4 people near Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard rescued four people Thursday who were aboard a disabled 20-foot pleasure craft near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge here.

A helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., on a training flight spotted people aboard the boat waving their arms and a light stick.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia arrived on scene and towed the boat and its crew to Frankfurt Arsenault boat ramp in Philadelphia.
