Coast Guard rescues 2 near Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard rescued two people Sunday who were aboard a disabled boat near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge in the Delaware River.

The Coast Guard received a report at 5:15 p.m. from Burlington County Dispatch reporting two people aboard a 19-foot boat were waving their arms and honking their boat horn.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia arrived on scene and towed the boat and its crew to Frankfort Arsenal Marina.
