Coast Guard rescues 2 near Bowers Beach, Delaware

PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard rescued two people today who were aboard a disabled 26-foot fishing boat in the vicinity of Bowers Beach, Del.

The Coast Guard received a call at 3:30 p.m. from a Good Samaritan who reported the boat was anchored, disabled and in need of assistance.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Fortescue, N.J., arrived on scene and towed the boat and its crew to Bowers Beach Marina.
