Coast Guard Rescues 2 After Their Boat Capsizes

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The U.S. Coast Guard rescued two men, today, after their boat capsized 200 feet off shore of Lackawanna, N.Y., at approximately 3:30 p.m.

A Coast Guard Station Buffalo 47-foot motor-life-boat was returning to base when they spotted two red flares. Coast Guardsmen responded to the location and saw a 17-foot boat capsized and two people in the water.

Station Buffalo recovered the two people and transferred them to awaiting Emergency Medical Services, but they declined treatment.

Some debris from the boat boat washed-up on shore and was picked up by good Samaritans.
