Coast Guard medically evacuates 50-year-old man off Flagler Beach, Fla. – video

Coast Guard District 7 NewsJACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 50-year-old male from the commercial fishing vessel Sea Angel one-mile off shore Flagler Beach, Fla., Monday.

Rescued was Carol Moore, 50.

Search and rescue controllers at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville received a telephone call from a good Samaritan at approximately 6:38 a.m., Monday, requesting medical assistance for Moore who had experienced stroke-like symptoms.

Coast Guard Air Station Savannah launched an MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew. The crew arrived on scene at approximately 9:28 a.m., conducted a hoist and safely transported Moore to Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Fla.
