Video - Coast Guard Medevacs Two From Haines, Alaska


JUNEAU, Alaska - The Coast Guard provided a medical evacuation for two patients from Haines today.A rescue helicopter from Air Station Sitka arrived at the Haines Clinic at approximately 2:30 p.m. today and flew an 84-year-old male and 60-year-old male needing emergency medical attention to Juneau.

The two men and rescue crew arrived in Juneau at 3:30 p.m. where the 84-year-old male was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital by Capital City Fire/Rescue. The 60-year-old male was flown to Seattle by Guardian Flight medevac service.

The patients’ conditions are unknown at this time.
