MIAMI — Coast Guard crews medevaced a man from the cruise ship Caribbean Princess Saturday approximately 74 miles east of Fort Lauderdale.

The 66-year-old male reportedly suffered stroke-like symptoms while aboard the cruise ship Caribbean Princess.

Coast Guard 7th District Command Center watchstanders received a report of the injury at approximately 8:34 p.m. Saturday. Watchstanders launched a Coast Guard Air Station Miami MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew at approximately 9 p.m.

The man was hoisted and delivered to Broward Medical Center at approximately 11:30 p.m.
