Coast Guard, local agencies searching for missing barge worker

45 3NEW YORK — The Coast Guard and other local agencies are searching for a 55-year-old male in the water near Bayonne, New Jersey.

Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector New York command center received notification at approximately 8 p.m., of a barge worker who fell in the water from a barge near the International Matex Tank Terminals in Bayonne.

Agencies involved in searching include:

– A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium rescue crew from Coast Guard Station New York
– New York Police Department Aviation Division
– New York Police Department Harbor Division
– Bayonne Fire Department
– Port Authority

Six divers have also been deployed within the immediate search area.
