Coast Guard, local agencies searching for man in Delaware River

PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard and local responders are searching for a 23-year-old man after the man jumped into the Delaware River near the Golden Point Marina at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

The man’s girlfriend reported the incident to the Delaware County Police Department, who alerted watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay that the man jumped into the river, went under a dock and did not resurface. She said he was wearing jeans, a black t-shirt and work boots.

A 25-foot Response Boat — Small crew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia and local police, fire and dive team members are searching for the man.
