Coast Guard ends search for person in the water near Pensacola

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard has ended its search for a person in the water near Pensacola, Florida, Tuesday.

Members from Escambia County Sheriff’s Office reported that they recovered a deceased person matching the description of the person in the water approximately 20 yards offshore Pensacola Beach, Florida, at approximately 7:30 a.m.

Involved in the search were:

  • Coast Guard Station Pensacola Response Boat- Small Crew
  • Coast Guard Station Pensacola Response Boat- Medium Crew
  • Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew
  • Coast Guard Cutter Marlin

  • Gulf Breeze Police Department
  • Escambia Search and Rescue
  • North Baldwin Sheriff’s Search And Rescue
