Coast Guard continues search after hunters body found

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – A Coast Guard helicopter crew recovered a body of one of the three overdue hunters Sunday near Back Creek in the vicinity of Millville and Greenwich in Cumberland County, N.J.

A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., hoisted the man aboard their helicopter and transported him to Cape Regional Medical Hospital in Cape May Courthouse, N.J.

A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City and the New Jersey State Police are currently searching for the two remaining missing hunters.

“We are extensively using all our resources available to find the two gentlemen,” said Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Kyle Gerkens, the search and rescue coordinator with the Atlantic City Coast Guard Sector Field Office. “We really appreciate the help and assistance of the New Jersey State Police officers.
