Coast Guard cautions residents of broken ice bridge between Mackinac Bridge and mainland Michigan

SAULT SAINTE MARIE, Mich. — The Coast Guard announces Friday that the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Biscayne Bay broke the ice between St. Helena Island and mainland Michigan, between the Mackinac Bridge and Brevort, Mich.

All recreational ice users should avoid using the ice between St. Helena Island and the mainland until further notice.
