ST. LOUIS — Coast Guard Sector Upper Mississippi River is reminding boaters to exercise extreme caution while operating their vessels on the upper Mississippi and Illinois Rivers.

As the rivers continue to rise and threaten to wash over levees and dams, there is a possibility of damage to homes and other property.
