Coast Guard assists with rescue after pleasure craft capsizes

BOSTON — A Coast Guard crew is en route along with a harbor master crew after a 30-foot pleasure boat overturned with four people aboard near Sakonnet Light in Rhode Island, Monday, July 12, 2010.

A Good Samaritan in a kayak rescued two of the four people and called the Coast Guard for assistance with the remaining people.

The people in the water are reportedly wearing life jackets.

A Coast Guard Station Castle Hill boat crew and the Tiverton, R.I., Harbormaster are en route to recover the remaining people from the water.

The condition of the four people is unknown at this time.
