Corpus Christi – A Coast Guard helicopter crew, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, Port Lavaca Fire Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife are searching for a person who entered the water from the bridge near Port Lavaca, Wednesday night.
At approximately 11:10 p.m. Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders were notified by Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department of a report that a person fell from the Lavaca Bay Bridge.
Watchstanders launched a Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew to search the area.
Police are searching the waters in the vicinity of the bridge, Coast Guard is searching the shoreline and the Lavaca Bay along with other local agencies.
