Cutter Alligator assisted in towing the disabled fishing vessel Endeavor

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Coast Guard conducted a 58-mile tow for a disabled fishing vessel near Clearwater Pass, Saturday.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, Fla., received a call at 11:14 a.m., Saturday, from the spouse of the master of the fishing vessel Endeavor stating that her husband and son’s vessel was disabled 58-miles northwest of Clearwater Pass and that they were in need of assistance.

The Coast Guard Cutter Alligator was diverted from a routine patrol at 12:47 p.m., to assist with the disabled vessel.

At approximately 10:37 p.m., the fishing vessel Fat Cat arrived on scene and assumed tow of the fishing vessel Endeavor which was towed and moored safely at a local marina in Holiday, Fla.
