Coast Guard airlifts man after car accident

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 24-year-old male after he rolled his vehicle several times in Friday Harbor, Wash., today.

Coast Guard Group Port Angeles received a request from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Department in Friday Harbor for a medical evacuation of a male who was ejected after rolling his vehicle several times in the town of Friday Harbor.

Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles launched an HH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew to the scene and airlifted the injured man to Harbor View Hospital here.

The Coast Guard routinely cooperates with local agencies to provide enhanced capabilities during an emergency response.
