Coast Guard aircrew working to rescue 2 utility workers

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A Coast Guard aircrew is currently assessing rescue options to rescue two utility workers trapped on a 150-foot pole today along the 1500th Block of Chester Pike in Glenolden, Pa.

The Coast Guard received a call at 10:20 a.m. from the Delaware County Police Dept. reporting two workers were trapped on a utility pole after the bucket truck they were in malfunctioned and was no longer stable. The men strapped themselves to the pole to await a rescue.

A helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City launched and arrived on scene to assess their best rescue options.
