Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, NJ, holds change of command

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — A change-of-command ceremony was held Friday at Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City.

Capt. Peter A. Mingo, a native of New London, Conn., assumed command of the air station from Capt. Nicholas A. Bartolotta.

Mingo most recently served as the chief of incident management for the Coast Guard’s 13th District in Seattle, which encompasses the Pacific Northwest.

Bartolotta will report to the Coast Guard’s 9th District in Cleveland where he will serve as the chief of response.

The air station crew supports a range of Coast Guard missions, including search and rescue, law enforcement, port security and marine environmental protection for the coastline of Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. The air station also has aircraft and crews dedicated to protecting the nation’s capital.
