3 ships collide in Newark Bay
CNN is reporting that two dredging ships and a tanker collided this afternoon in Newark Bay.
A Coast Guard spokesman said that workers had stabilized one of the dredges, the New York, which had been taking on water. Booms were being deployed to contain a small oil spill.
The Coast Guard has responded to the incident with two boats and a helicopter.
