Coast Guard closes portion of Illinois River due to marine incident

PEORIA, Ill. — The Coast Guard has closed the Illinois River from mile marker 160 to mile marker 165 in response to a marine incident involving the motor vessel Richard Sibes and a 40-foot pleasure craft carrying seven people at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
