HONOLULU — The Coast Guard is urging all mariners to practice safe boating and be prepared for the 2009 hurricane season, which begins June 1 and ends Nov. 30.

Coast Guard suspends search for missing Mississippi boater

NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard suspended its search a 4:15 p.m. today, for a boater who went missing after his 21-foot pleasure craft capsized with five people aboard, Monday, in Dog Keys Pass, approximately three miles west of Horn Island, Miss.

Cutter Bear returns to Portsmouth after cocaine seizure

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Bear is scheduled to return to their homeport in Portsmouth Wednesday folowing a 45 day Caribbean patrol.

State police divers locate body believed to be missing diver

BOSTON – After a 96-hour multi-agency search covering 524 square nautical miles, Massachusetts State Police divers located a body today which they believe is the diver who went missing about a half mile south of Gloucester, Mass., Monday afternoon.
