Coast Guard locates 3 boaters adrift

YANKEETOWN, Fla. – An HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Fla., located three people in their 15-foot pleasure craft at about 6 p.m. Monday, after their boat became disabled and adrift eight miles southwest of Little Pine Island, Fla.

Coast Guard presents Meritorious Service Award to AMHS Chenega crew in Whittier

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Capt. John S. Kenyon, commander Sector Anchorage, presented a Meritorious Service Award to Capt. Sam Daniels and the crew of the Alaska Marine Highway System Ferry Chenega in Whittier Monday for their efforts assisting and saving eight lives since September 2007.

Coast Guard suspends search for two people missing near Chicago

CHICAGO – The search that began at approximately 3:45 p.m., for two females thought to be missing in Calumet Harbor was suspended, Monday, after the U.S. Coast Guard confirmed no one was missing.
A rescued man reported that two other people were onboard his personal watercraft when it capsized.
