Coast Guard Orders Towing Vessel to Cease Operations After Accidents

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif -The U.S. Coast Guard has ordered a towing vessel that struck a seafood market in Newport Bay on January 31st to cease all operations until significant safety and manning deficiencies are corrected.

Boaters Warned of Potentially Hazardous Conditions

LOS ANGELES – The National Weather Service is warning of possible “unsettled weather with potentially hazardous boating conditions possible through Sunday afternoon. A small craft advisory has been issued.” The Coast Guard strongly urges boaters to exercise extreme caution during this time.
