HONOLULU — Six members from the Fourteenth Coast Guard District here will be honored by the Honolulu Council Navy League during the 48th Annual Honolulu Navy League’s Sea Service Awards luncheon at the Hale Koa Hotel Friday at 11:30 a.m.

Coast Guard recovers three, searches for two following helicopter crash

HOUSTON – The Coast Guard has recovered three crewmembers and continues to search for two more after a helicopter crashed approximately 2-miles south, off the coast of Sabine Pass, Texas, Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008. The three recovered crewmembers were pronounced deceased by a Jefferson County official.

Coast Guard Cutter Active returns home to Port Angeles, Wash.

SEATTLE — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Active will return to their homeport in Port Angeles, Wash., Thursday at 4 p.m.

Coast Guard to assist U.S. Virgin Islands mariners with fingerprinting for merchant mariner applications

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – A Coast Guard Regional Exam Center REC representative will visit Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands Dec. 17 and 18 to assist mariners with fingerprinting and application packages for merchant mariner’s documents, licenses and certificates of registry.
