Pittsburgh Coast Guard unit receives top readiness award
PITTSBURGH – The Boat Forces Team from Marine Safety Unit Pittsburgh was recently awarded the prestigious Sumner I. Kimball Readiness Award.
The team received 46 points out of a possible 50 on a standardization inspection conducted by a team of specialists from Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, Va.
Coast Guard transports ill man from fishing boat
CLEVELAND – U.S Coast Guard Station Marblehead medically evacuated a 64-year-old male experiencing symptoms of faint from a 70-foot fishing vessel just east of Pelee Island at approximately 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.
