Coast Guard responds to diesel fuel spill

PORTLAND, Oregon — The Coast Guard responded to a 90-gallon release of diesel fuel into the Columbia River here in the vicinity of the Columbia River Yacht Club around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Coast Guard actively suspended its search this afternoon, for the source of the “mayday” call near Seldovia received at 10 p.m. Tuesday. No correlating reports of an overdue, flare sightings or search and rescue satellite alerts have been received at this time.
