SAN PEDRO, Calif. – The Coast Guard continues searching in the vicinity of a debris field thought to be from a 26 to 28-foot Bayliner that departed Long Beach around midnight.

Coast Guard seasonal closure of Rogue River detachment

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard closed the Rogue River search and rescue detachment in Gold Beach, Ore. Thursday.
The detachment opens seasonally due to increased boating traffic during the summer months and hazardous river bar conditions. The detachment will remain closed until Memorial Day, 2009.
