First Operational Helicopter Landing on Coast Guard’s newest Cutter

Los Angeles – U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Area Commander, Vice Admiral David Pekoske, arrived on the Coast Guard’s new National Security Cutter Bertholf at approximately 11:45 this morning. HOLLAND, Mich. – A Good Samaritan rescued  five people that were hanging onto their overturned 20-foot boat, today, five miles southwest of here.

MOBILE, Ala. – The Coast Guard suspended its search this evening for the vessel Cobalt approximately 64-miles southeast of Panama City Pass.

PADUCAH, Ky. – Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley has issued river restrictions for portions of the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers today due low water levels.
