Search Suspended for Louisiana Man Near Bahamas

MIAMI — The Coast Guard suspended its search around 8 p.m. Friday for a Louisiana man who reportedly fell overboard around 6 p.m. Wednesday 37 miles south of Great Inagua, Bahamas.

Coast Guard responds to sternwheeler grounding

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard responded to the grounding of the sternwheeler Portland 1 1/2 miles east of the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River near Portland, Ore., today.
