SEATTLE – The Coast Guard airlifted a man near Charleston, Ore., today.
Frank Schneidle, 39 years-old, sustained injuries while walking along the beach close to the Cape Arago Lighthouse.

Coast Guard Launches Board of Investigation over Alaska Ranger Sinking

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Coast Guard in cooperation with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched a Formal Marine Board of Investigation (MBI) into the sinking of the fishing vessel Alaska Ranger that claimed four fishermen’s lives and left one crewman missing Sunday, March 23, 2008.

Coast Guard assists in search for missing man off Santa Barbara coast

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The Coast Guard and Santa Barbara rescuers are searching for a missing man off the coast in Santa Barbara.
The man was last seen on his sailboat which capsized about 200 yards off Leadbetter Beach just before 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
