HOUSTON – The Coast Guard rescued a man stranded in Jones Lake near Texas City, Texas, this evening.
A watchstander from Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston received a cell-phone call from a boater at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The boater reported seeing a jet-skier stranded in the shallow waters of Jones Lake, Texas.

Coast Guard rescues two men from disabled sail boat

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The crew of a Coast Guard HH-65C rescue helicopter from Air Station Corpus Christi hoisted two men at 10:00 a.m. off a disabled sail boat 108 miles offshore east of Corpus Christi.

Kodiak Residents Receive Meritorious Public Service Awards

KODIAK, Alaska – Two Kodiak residents were presented the Coast Guard Meritorious Public Service Award on March 3 for their lifesaving actions in two recent rescues.
