Coast Guard, Dept. of Ecology responds to mineral oil spill in Willow Creek

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard and the Washington Department of Ecology responded to a reported 85 gallon spill of mineral oil from a transformer at Willow Creek near Tukwila, Wash., today.
The oil leaked from a transformer on a downed power pole and ran into a storm drain overnight, some of it reaching Willow Creek.

Long Beach, Calif – The 51-foot pleasure craft Moonlight Express grounded this morning in Long Beach harbor near Island Grissom while conducting a Coast Guard Auxiliary patrol under the auspices of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach.
