Station New York Medevacs Man from Stapleton Anchorage

Cuban migrants apprehended near Key Biscayne – 01/01/2008 – MiamiHerald.com

The U.S. Coast Guard and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department picked up 17 Cuban migrants early Tuesday morning near the Cape Florida Lighthouse in Key Biscayne.

Coast Guard Responds to Disabled Freighter Northeast of Attu

JUNEAU, Alaska — The Coast Guard is responding to a call for assistance from a disabled freighter 180 nautical miles northeast of Attu.
The Mathawee Naree, a 554-foot Thai flagged freighter, became disabled late Monday night with approximately 28,000 tons of copper concentrate on board.
